DescriptionThis little work is an account of two dreams of the founder of the Ṣulayḥid state, ‘Alī b. Muḥammad, in which the caliph al-Mustanṣir appears to him and prophesies some future events affecting his dynasty. It is stylised in the first person, and in the present manuscript it begins with four lines explicitly stating that the story is the composition of the king himself; these lines are missing in the copy described by Cortese.
